Tailed by Police at over 90 on the M60.....

.....and they didn't pull me over despite the fact I was driving in a Porsche Boxster at the time. In fact they didn't even bat an eyelid. They were 2 up in a marked Range Rover.

It must have been because I used my mirrors and indicators and pulled into the nearside lane when I was able to.

In fact I followed them at this speed for a couple of junctions.

That'll be discretion then. OK he's speeding, but he's not tailgating, not hogging the outside lane, he's using his mirrors and indicators, he's aware of our presence etc etc.

I had something similar behind the BiB on the M3 at 90odd a couple of week's back. Refreshing, isn't it ?

A NIP in the post is still possible, so don't start celebrating just yet.

They may have been on the way to another job, but have clocked you with video evidence. Been there...done that. Just wait 14 days and then you can

Actually they were chasing me, but I was doing 140mph at the time so you got lucky.....

A NIP is possible I suppose, we'll just have to wait and see. I certainly wasn't the only driver travelling in excess of the limit at the time.

I was doing 110 on the M4 in my wife's 944 3 weeks ago when I looked up at the rear view and spotted the BiB flying up behind me.

The motorway was largely empty, so I just indicated and pulled into the slow lane and dropped to about 85. They pulled up along side me, the Cop in the passenger seat shook a finger at me and mouthed 'naughty, naughty' and they carried on.

Same sort of thing recently. Demo-ing the SL to a work colleague, doing 55-ish on a dual carriageway, BiB pull me over, asked me what the limit was (I genuinely thought it was 40), nope, 30 as it was a built up area. Keep your speed down, on your way.

Thats how it should be.
