Uh lol no…
I’ve commented on this post earlier about getting caught with a speed gun, which the summons for that have just come.

What kind of weird hostility? Please use your brains before commenting absolute nonsense?

I was asking for the contact of the solicitor which many people have recommended?

Still less confusing if you put it on a new thread

Got done, again, for speeding - no excuse.

Takes me too 12 points so will this result in an automatic ban?

If I loose my licence I loose my job so wondering what my options might be.
Have you had your day in court?

The Country would screech to a halt without the people using the roads for their income.

Van Drivers,Taxi Drivers,Prescription Delivery Drivers.

How can we cut some slack for the motorists doing 60,000 miles per annum. Its not the same as Aunty Joan taking the car to Church on Sundays.

Dare I say if you are driving 60,000 miles a year you are likely to be a better experienced driver just a victim of a huge exposure to the potential crimes.

Many of my colleagues have jacked it...you will be sorry when we have all gone??

You can have both; people who don't speed everywhere (or get caught if/when they do) and drive lots of miles. The two aren't mutually exclusive.

I think you miss my point.

Imagine two guys banging their head against a brick wall.

One is doing it every 5 mins (12 times an hour 24/7)

The other is doing it every 60 mins ( once every hour 24/7)

Which one is going to go mental first (probably) ???

Would like to thank Andrew Thompson @ AGTLaw for his assistance. Very simple but effective method and helped significantly.

37 in a 20 caught by speed gun and pulled over. Already had 6 points so was thinking, automatically a totting up ban.

Court decision: 4 points. No totting up ban for me!

Personally, I would have thought someone doing that many miles/year would know all the tricks of the trade by now & would know how not to get caught.

Or maybe know how not to speed which is far easier to do smile

Just as an aside, I've seen the links to @AGTLaw website posted a few times.

If you are reading this Andrew, would you be kind enough to have someone edit the website landing page to remove the extra serious in this sentence

"I am well-versed in defending complex and serious serious cases as well as more straightforward matters."

It stands out a bit and detracts slightly from your otherwise professional introduction.

Straightforward stuff, I would use a good local solicitor rather than pay fortunes for rip off supposed expert motoring lawyers who tend to pay buttons for cheap young crap barristers to go as their agent. Magistrates react better to local briefs than motoring outsiders trust me on that one!
Interesting to read that. I used a motoring lawyer place and I have to say I was pretty disappointed in the barrister. Ultimately they got me a 17 day ban instead of 6 points and a 6 month totting up ban, so they did their job, but after spending the previous 3 months talking to the solicitor in detail, I don't think this barrister chap had even opened my file before that morning.

:-)

I see it's been edited now, so it's only serious cases.

Where do I send my bill? :-)
