The car was dried out and then got wet again so stop punting the previous owner floodgate theory.

Reality is leaks are hard to find unless you strip car back to metal. Issue is this costs a fortune and will result in a rattly car. Finance company will pay out and 35p a mile is very very reasonable for all in motoring.
