Been away for a while and notice Street has vanished - did he get sacked by the BiB? I always wondered where he got the time mind you, he was very prolific.

As I recall, he threw all his toys out of his pram, to him, we knew nothing, he knew everything, even calling ALL of us no more than petrol headed, speed obssessed know nothings, or words to that effect!

I think Gary just got fed up with all the negative comments (some deserved, some not) so he just left the forum..............

I don't think that's quite fair on us. After he took the scam job, he turned from a generally fair-minded man with occasional bouts of rashness to a slavering, red-eyed maniac who accused us all of being irresponsible, dangerous speed junkies.

I exaggerate a little, but only a little.

He seemed to enjoy his scamming position a tad to much which upset a fair few on here.

Blimey, agreeing to the rules again, thats a bit OTT isn't it. Anyway back to the plot, toy's out of pram... arrest child for litter throwing, the last act of a scamera crazed traffic cop.

Last I heard - he decided to be a talivan cop. Then changed his mind and changed his mind again.

Oh well.

PS - towman seems absent. He used to be here a lot. On hols?

Check out the lorries thread, he's been quite busy in there - bashing people who get upset when they lose a few minutes of their journey by being held up by lorries who overtake each other to save a few seconds

I must admit his position always seemed incongruous, despite how we might consider ourselves, a lot of what people say here flies in the face of his remit & training, assuming he was what he claimed.

How long was he on-board? I just wonder if he was doing some post-doc research project into driving attitudes and we will all appear quoted in some thesis somewhere. Sorry to feed anyones paranoia - do remember anyone in the world can read this! So he may still be watching ......

TBH I thought half the time he would post 'the official line' just to wind people up. When they failed to get the joke and retaliated, he would then press the point and that was when his arguments got tedious.

He was proper BiB. This was confirmed by a couple of the other BiB in here.

IMO he decided to leave the site, and reckoned that the biggest splash would be caused by saying he was going to be a Scammer. I doubt he actually was though.

Yeah he said that he had got a job with the RPU? FWIW a lot of BiB have had warnings about posting on internet forums, I got a letter from my force (along with everyone else) only a few weeks ago saying comments could lead to us being sacked off duty or not.

But that ist silly. It helps heal the rift which scameras are causing. We get some intelligent comment - not always palatable to hear for some - but still welcome.

We also see the human element in some of the comments too.

Strassen apart... I am sure he said he was studying for something or other (OU?) as well - which was why he had the PH window open to flick into so often. But was just a little too "I am trained BiB" and rebel in me... wound him up a bit... on occasion He was a bit sensitive over my BiB bash pasting from the tabloids
