Disappointed with OAP Sniper
Discussion
Ok heres the scenario.....
Driving home along country lane, spot a car backed into a field entrance facing out towards the road at 90 degrees. As I approach said vehicle I see the driver put his arm out the drivers window holding what looks like a 9mm auto pistol, cue anxiety.:shoot:
As I pass the car said person raises gun and shoots at the car. I hear the gun go off and also hear the impact of the projectile on the passenger door, cue sudden braking, followed by reversing up to block said eeeeejits car in.
Now, I know I have no gaping wound leaking claret so I assume the weapon was a BB gun. I am also what you could describe as a Large chap, 6' 6'' and 19st who is also now, very unhappy.:rage:
I confront the sniper and demand said weapon be handed over, resisting the temptation to drag him through his window and rearrange his face as I know it would be me that ends up in Court. Said sniper is, wait for it, at least 65 years old !!!!!!!!!
Anyhow, he is suitably 'advised' and reported to plod within 5 minutes, didnt have my phone with me <sigh>
Plod takes statement and promises suitable action.
2 weeks later and,..................Nothing.:(
Firearms being high profile, real or replica I would have expected a phonecall at least or do I expect too much from an organisation more interested in scamera revenues..........:banghead:
Answers on a Postcard please :soapbox:

Next time dial 999 & tell the plod the person is armed. A rather more rapid response will await & will be swiftly dealt with, probably by the traffic lads too.
Expect mr old codger to be seriously not planning on doing such a thing ever again
Yeah, don't forget to mention he looks like an Al-Qaeda operative as well - that seems to get the Police very excited these days...
Section 16A Firearms Act 1968 said:
16A. It is an offence for a person to have in his possession any firearm or imitation firearm with intent-
(a) by means thereof to cause; OR
(b) to enable another person by means thereof to cause
any person to believe that unlawful violence will be used against him or another person.
Arrestable offence - 10 years imprisonment (max)
And that’s only for levelling the gun, not firing the bloody thing.
It’s the offence which (along with S19 – possession in public place) is used more often than any other to arrest someone for a firearms offence, which this plainly was.
It infuriates me when positive action is not taken for this kind of offence – age is no defence, and this muppet needs one hell of a lesson.
He needs to be arrested and dealt with at the police station.
Could get a caution, but should be put in front of mags for Sec4 Public Order at least.
Old Rambo merely mumbled some unintelligible words I'm afraid. I suspect that my vast bulk obliterating all light through his window caused momentary loss of speech.......................although................ I did hear a faint 'parp' from his trouser area...
As yet,........... still no response from
