Anybody seen this.
Obviously if Mr. Diotte was a habitual drunk driver it would be a reasonable thing to do but it sounds more like targetting a critic to me.
I would be very suprised if this isn't going on in this country too - I don't think PNC/DVLA accesses are logged here either.

Here's another class example, it makes for a very interesting read:

I just realised, perhaps this report was what kicked off the reporter’s (Mr Diotte) own subsequent problems described in the first post!

Maybe I shouldn't have fought this at all.

1) You've identified a specific example of a corrupt public servant abusing his position of power in order to persecute a private individual.
2) It obviously IS going on in this country somewhere (although the copper in the original article does look a particular d*ckhead - a bit like a Hollywood Caricature).
One swallow does not a summer make. We all know there are bad apples out there, the good news is that this total tw*thead was identified. The bent copper definitely WAS targetting a critic, that's clear from the article, so its good he's been caught. Most of the other Rozzers are okay ( and I would put ours against theirs any day of the week, despite some general failings).
But I still think the original copper looks an absolute clown.
