Maybe just a coincidence but I seem to be seeing more and more :ahem: spiritedly driven vehicles without front number plates.

I havnt had one for 6 or 7 months after it did acidentally fall off somwhere.
First few times I passed the police I was expected to be pulled over but no one really seems bothered about it, so ill leave it till the MOT. Just think it looks a lot better without a plate on the front.
I slapped a stick on one on the front of mine. It looks good on my car... I've not checked what yours is but might be an idea. It's not 100% within the specs but as bib can read it and it's proper font and spacing I dont get stopped.

ssshhhhh!!! close this thread, stop talking about it or everyone will lose their plate & then they will clamp down on it.. ive not had one for a year or so, before that it was about 6 inches (front plate that is), not pulled once, now go read another thread & delete this one...
To late we've already heard, Have no problem with stick on number plates, as long as I can read them and its "near" the right size most of us don't care.
Anpr hates em...

Although when you see the same car every day for a fortnight .....
Mind you I think the Italians and some US states have got it right, tiny or no front number plate normal size rear, Alfas and exotica look soooo much better.
Just heard on the local radio that a Policeman on a bicycle has been hit and run by a Focus with no front plate in Manchester, perhaps the Police will be taking a dimmer view of this in future.
Plod was trying to stop the Focus, which reversed into him and then tried to run him over. Luckily he got out the way and escaped with only cuts and bruises though.

In Italy, small front plates stopped being issued about 15-20 years ago. The EEC ruins another beautiful thing.

I think the Focus just pulled over & the bobby on the bike, head down peddaling like crazy to catch him didnt see he stopped & went straight into the back of him. (come on we have all nudged the car in front at roundabouts!), he was so emabrrised he said it reversed into him
