Advice re Red Light Offence

Mate just got letter to say got caught going through a red light.

Any advice re points/fine?
Is there anything he can do to try and argue the offence?

As far as I am aware it will be 3 points and £60.

If you want to argue the offence, you really need to be innocent and be able to prove it. If you know you are guilty, I would just pay up.
