Isn't it strange how people view things differently. Personally I don't care if anyone avoids paying tax on anything. I'm of the opinion that it's a case of "nice one mate".

The viewpoint that they'll put tax up to cover it is a fallacy IMO, they'll put tax up regardless. Seeing as I'm about £5K a year worse off since this robbing bunch of s got in I'll avoid tax in any way I can. The government will only piss it up the wall if you give it to them anyway.

If anyone wishes to act as an agent of the state that's their perogative, but I'm more likely to pat the bloke on the back.

I got hit by an uninsured driver. He was probably untaxed too, but I don't really care. No insurance I do object to as it harms individuals, but no tax only removes money from the state. Perhaps if they spent the huge amount of tax we give them on transport I would change my mind, but for now it's just another tax. Every penny that doesn't go to Gordon is another penny that's free to be pumped back into the economy.

Injured... I was in a Saab and he hit it with an Escort. No contest, he just bounced off

OK, I may or may not have used untaxed vehicles in the past. Got away with it some of the time, and got busted too. Paid he fine, I took the risk etc. But, I don't feel guilty about it. I have three vehicles and only use one at a time. If the sun comes out once or twice over winter I'll be damned if I'm gonna pay six months tax for the privilige of using my bike. Heck, I should get a rebate for doing less damage to the roads than when I'm in my car.
