I need to write a letter for one of my employees to assist in his upcoming appearance for speeding (51 in a 40 I believe).

What sort of things should the letter say?

Nononono.

He volunteers to drive disabled gay muslim adopted orphan child asylum seekers to rescue baby seals.

The combination is, I think, a winner.

Can't you say that as a member of the xyz faith he's obliged to travel above the speed limit at least once every journey to appease his God? Else he'll burn in hell for all eternity or something?

Surely the magistrate wouldn't want to discriminate against his minority faith in the interests of diversity?

OK, so...

He volunteers to drive a hybrid car-share vehicle to take disabled gay muslim adopted orphan child asylum seekers to rescue lesbian baby seals and tackle climate change at a deity appeasing speed.

After the bollocking we got from Ted about having fun, I'm surprised this hasn't been locked.

Anyway, even though all of the posts made me laugh we'd better give a real answer otherwise we'll all get banned.

The only way he's not going to get a ban is to point out that OTHER people will suffer if he loses his licence: granny has to go to hospital, etc. You could also mention that his actions were totally out of character.... nice bloke... etc. Basically... sell him.

Another thing that might help is if you told him he drives a (insert vehicle of choice) and has enough problems in his life already.

I've done a memo for one of my staff.

If you email me your address, I'll send you a copy.

It may or may not be suitable cos it doesn't say anything about ferrying disabled black lesbians anywhere......

No offence to anyone etc!

Not sure the bollocking was about fun as opposed to smut...and I think parody, irony, withering criticism where due, all have an exemption.

In other words it's a ted cert to be OK...
