A35 Chideock Dorset

Caught the tail end of this on the news last night. Some bloke is challenging it because the signs aren't in acordance with TSRGD. The signs they showed on the tele last night had a very bold white/red chequered border. Thousands of motorists stand to have their convictions quashed apparently.
Did anyone else catch it, or can find a link ?
