Good result, I'm pleased for you, its so sad a copper can be so confidentally wrong !

This sort of crap is what turns people against the police these days.

And others want to charge us for appealing this stuff !
Just like the one who claimed my plate was illegal (characters too small).
Had to politely point out that he had made a mistake.
He was confused because my car, although similar to the UK version, is a JDM import.
Therefore the smaller size characters were permitted. He wasn't having any of it.
Quite determined to take it further.

His antagonistic attitude for which I had given him no cause whatsoever irritated me.
Took a deep breath, stayed calm, and informed him in that case I would be happy to see him in court.
And hinted that his guv'nor wouldn't be too happy with the resulting adverse publicity in the local press.
Grudgingly accepted I was right when I invited him to peruse a copy of this which I keep in my glovebox!

I suppose I shouldn't have been surprised as the tug wasn't by one of the Volvo V70 T5 crew.
They're much more on the ball and I never have any issues with them.

Hasn't turned me against the police though. There are tcensoredts in every walk of life.
It's unfortunate when it happens in an organisation which relies on public consent to work effectively.
Makes it so much harder for the decent ones.
