You seem more peeved that you have been caught.

It sounds like you slow for where you know the camera vans sit and because they were sat somewhere you weren't expecting call it unethical.
Of course I'm peeved but my main gripe is that Fife Police are never anywhere to be seen on areas known for speeding where there s real danger to kids and pedestrians, but they sit on a dual carriageway on Saturday morning, which is almost dead?
They do seem to like a camera van up there as I saw three between Aberdeen & Dundee on Saturday afternoon along with the numerous fixed cameras also on the A90. The last camera van I saw was set up about 100 yards in front of a fixed camera location. Crafty, I thought.
You're right. On the M90 between Dundee and Aberdeen there's 9 Gatsos. Yet none between Dundee and Edinburgh. Use of mobile cameras seems to vary a lot too.

My own view is that I actually welcome them in built up areas or known accident spots, but not on good clear dual carriageways like the M92.

Thank your lucky stars you don't live in Cumbria, the Talivan here have been operating wherever they like (with or without warning signs) for around 3 years now... Just as well us Cumbria folk show a bit of solidarity, most folk flash headlights to warn oncoming drivers of the cash point round the corner.

I don't think you do, otherwise you'd not need to be posting here!

What's the point of the 70mph limit if it's to be voluntary? banghead
The only point, voluntary or otherwise, is to oppress.

Those who would oppress us are the enemy.

They can set-up where they want and when they want.
Which is best solved by purging the SCPs in their entirety.

They are the enemy, they deserve no quarter.

The operator will be alert and have established a belief that you were exceeding the limit and using the laser to confirm his prior opinion.
...at least that is the pretense maintained by these filthy parasitic racketeering scum.

Let your electeds know your feelings.

Unlike the SCPs the OP is not an unnecessary parasitic load on his fellow citizen.

There is nothing ethical about any of the SCPs' activities even if they publish maps and timetables.

Throw them all on the dole!

Totally O/T but this is why I like PH. Various opinions, and while there isn't consensus, there's no animosity either.

Carry on. smile
