The final rounds of the British GT championship take place at Brands Hatch over the weekend of the 2nd and 3rd of October and Embassy Racing who run one of the C5's want to put 10 C5's on display in the paddock.

Therefore I need you! I have emailed the guy at Embassy to check whether the cars are wanted for both days or just the Sunday, I have also asked if he wants some of the other Corvettes other than C5's.

Let me know if you can make it as I will need address info so that I can get you a Paddock Pass and hopefully free tickets.

If it's just the Sunday I might be available (only the mrs's is out all weekend & I'm suposed to be baby sitting) 2 kids can't get them both in the Vette!!!!!

When do u need to know? Only might take a few days to reshuffle the baby sitting arrangements. If it's both days then I'll probably have to duck out.

Think it will "probably" be the Sunday only, but I won't know until I see the detailed schedule for the weekend and there are no listings yet on the web. I am waiting to here back from the guy at Embassy and as soon as I will post the full info.

Regrettably I'm already fully committed that weekend, otherwise a day out at Brands would have been ideal.

I presume we'd be in the large paddock at the side of the track rather than stuck in the middle.

Nigel, just been talking to Pat FitzGerald re Brands for the 3rd of October (u may remember him from Le Mans, yellow 1963 roadster) he has asked me to pass on his availability for the day. He has penciled it into his diary pending your conformation. Also says he may be able to get another C2 if you are short. I'm still working on a baby sitter for me to be able to confirm though!!!!!

Pat makes 10 or 11 cars assuming mine is back by then....

I will check to see if we can squeeze another one in.

Should get some final details this week, but definitely we will get one free entry ticket per car and obviously we will be parked together. The "parking together" bit is still being sorted by the guy from Embassy.

You need to get your ticker sorted before you are allowed out for this sort of excitement...we will save you a place next year....especially as you put me in touch with the guy at Embassy

Okay ladies and gents here is the story.....

Corvettes to enter by main entrance - one entry ticket per car will be available at the gate so if you have a passenger they will have to buy a ticket there.

Brands will charge us a small parking charge, (I couldn't get around that - no I don't know what they consider "small"), and direct us to a special display area on Colin Chapman Way.

We are invited by Embassy Racing to tour the pit garage, meet the drivers and chat with the team owner.

.....I am STILL trying to get Brands to tell me WHEN on Sunday the British GT races will be.. as without this important bit of info I cannot arrange to get you lot together for a cruise into the circuit!

According to the BRSCC (who run the event) tele; 01732 780100 the Sunday race is due to start at 14:05 finishing 15:05. You may want to check this with Brands nearer the time though!!!!

Brands Hatch gates normally open around 7am obviously for the team trucks etc. Ticket prices £10 per person, under 15's are free, if grandstands are open then they are free as well.

Hope this helps, I do have one question though....

If I need to get away after the GT race is it possible to leave the Embassy display area or do we have to wait till the end of the day 17:30 ish???
