I would assume you can leave when you want.

Where the circuit is.

www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?client=public&X=555000&Y=165000&width=500&height=300&gride=557360&gridn=164817&srec=0&coordsys=gb&db=pc&addr1=&addr2=&addr3=&pc=DA38NG&advanced=&local=&localinfosel=&kw=&inmap=&table=&ovtype=&zm=0&scale=100000&out.x=3&out.y=6

also now have the Schedule:

Sunday October 3

10:00 - 10:20 VOLKSWAGEN RACING CUP QUALIFYING

10:32 THE AVO GINETTA CHAMPIONSHIP RACE 5 25 mins

11:10 UK FORMULA FORD CHAMPIONSHIP RACE 6 20 laps

11:53 AVON TYRES BRITISH F3 CHAMPIONSHIP RACE 7 28 laps

12:31 THE CARLUBE TVR CHALLENGE RACE 8 10 laps

12:55 VOLKSWAGEN RACING CUP RACE 9 20 mins

13:15 - 13:50 LUNCH

I suggest that we meet at Clackett Lane (Eastbound) at 9:00 a.m. for those that want to and then at or near the circuit entrance for about 10 o'clock. Is this good for you?

I have just received the info below from Lee Rogers with reference to the event. Clackets to Brands is around 30-45 mins so timing mentioned by Nigel should be good provided there are no hold-ups. I suggest though that leaving at 9 is the way to go.

I have been making some enquiries this morning with MotorSport Vision at Brands & Embassy Racing's Comunications Director Myles, who, on behalf of the team has kindly arranged free entry per each CCCUK Corvette plus driver. Passenger entry would be £10 & MotorSport Vision will be charging £2 per car for reserved Corvette parking at Colin Chapman Way, organised by Embassy Racing.

Myles is also planning a grid-walk pre-race for us & entry allows, as per normal, paddock entrance to view the cars/see the teams.

Also, having spoken to Mark Sumpter earlier, of Paragon Porsche www.paragon.gb.com - we can also meet the Paragon Porsche team + if time/resources allow, some of the other teams, including more Corvette racers. Thank-You Mark & Pippa.

Apparently, Nigel Dobbie (Hampshire member) has approximately 12 Corvettes from the CCCUK turning up, could be more.

I need to get back to Myles by end-of-day this Thursday 30th to give him numbers - he can allow for about 20 corvettes in total to gain special entry so assuming Nigel has about 12-15 that leaves about 5 remaining.....!

Recommended arrival at the circuit is 9.00 - 9.30am & paddock visiting so I can organise with Mark (Paragon Porsche) 10-11am onwards. Racing starts at 1pm.

Myles at Embassy is my contact too!

It might be 30-45 minutes for some of the older Corvettes so lets make it 8.30 that gives you plenty of time to stock up on coffee, and breakfast if required!

Only just read this thread as I haven't got a C5 and didn't read on...

Do you still want Vettes?

If so, count me in!

Yep! First 20 get a free ticket after that you may have to pay but it is only £10 to get in so it is hardly going to break the bank.

I'm still gutted that I couldn't be there today, particularly as I have followed the Embassy team since I went to their first test session last Winter. My Vette was also on display outside their hospitality tent at Silverstone until Joe Public decided to do the Clarkson "oh look - its all springy at the back" test at which point I moved it.

Anyway, hopefully you guys will post a blow by blow account of how the day went (including the racing).
