So what would be your ultimate collection of tracks to have on the CD player as you drive along?
To start off how about Guns n Roses Sweet Child O mine,
Robert Palmer Addicted to Love, Shania Twain What a woman wants, Canned Heat Work Together & Zepplin Black Dog.

get an MP3/WMA multichanger and you can have all your tracks in the car

I like loads of types of music depending on my mood. At the moment I like driving to Sum41. I also drive PGR2 on the XBOX to Sum41 as well.

Do what? - don't we speak english any more?

Couldn't possibly tell you what I listen to for fear of ridicule. However, sometimes it involves three gorgeous Irish girls (oh, and their brother alas).

Depends where I'm driving...

Heading north towards Missouri the Ozark Mountain Daredevils or the Indigo Girls was fun, cruising over to New Orleans it was pretty neat to listen to Sonny Landreth and Albert King. Most anywhere in the US the Allman Brothers Band or the Derek Trucks Band tore it up...

And then there's back in London where any of the Ministry of Sound CD's or JK make the wing mirrors vibrate a treat :-)

As soon as the sun comes out in the Springtime and the open road beckons a little bit of Green Day does the trick!

Placebo....good call.....however you have to go a long way to beat a little ''old school'' Ramons for that all round roof off (coupe obviously) foot to the floor driving experience!!!!

And hurtling waaaay off topic... I was in a store yesterday and they were playing a song that they used to use for either a coke or a budweiser ad, which had a kinda Santana-esque latin-rock heavy guitar riff that went <ahem>

Wa wa wa waaaa waa wa wa wa wa waaa waaaaaa! (Repeat ad nauseam)

Band of guys sitting around playing music (which makes me think it was a budweiser true music ad)...

WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT SONG?????!!!!!

Well I don't own a Corvette and I'm a far way from owning one, but I'd say a Z06 without any of the mufflers/cats or any of the equipment that silences the sound would be music to my ears. Otherwise, it would have to be Sukshinder Shinda, Dr Zeus and Karan MC to name a few of many bhangra artists that would be my ideal driving/racing music.

On the contrary, I think my ''Borla stinger'' exhaust note & the Ramons complement each other perfectly

The stereo in the Z06 doesn't work at the moment

Have to make do with B&B 4" pipes and a 6.3litre Twin Turbo to kept my aural excitement levels up!

Yes! The Z06 IS Back!

Is it Lenny Kravitz - Fly Away? The Peugeot Ad?

Think the Santana track may be "Smooth" which I recently rediscovered and is an excellent track for grumbling along on a hot sunny day. It just exudes "Cool".

Plenty of AC/DC for rapid driving like Riff Raff, Whole Lotta Rosie and Touch Too Much. Some Thin Lizzy never goes amiss "Tonight there'll be a jailbreak...somewhere in this town..." Well, the jail would be my guess....
Southbound is my favourite Lizzy track though.
Wheat Kings by Tragically Hip for late night cruising.

Thin Lizzy
AC/DC

I also love A Forest by The Cure that is a great driving toon..... "running towards nothing, again and again and again and again and again...."

Sorry... not Lennie or actually Santana, just Santana-ish... the ad was from about 3 or 4 years ago... a bit of a stretch!

Some great tracks in there. Is it just me or do some tracks encourage you to put your foot down a little more and edge the speed up and others are just ideal for a gentle cruise with the top off
