Well I had an awesome first day in Kentucky watching my car slowly grow. I will indeed be bringing it back to the UK when I return, at the moment it's scheduled for the end of next year. The factory tour is an amazing thing and the buyers tour is just the icing on the cake. Unfortunately cameras aren't allowed in there but Ive paid for the photo album. It will take a few weeks to arrive but I'l post some up then, though hopefully I'll be driving the car by then! Monday I'm back up to Kentucky to watch is continue down the assembly line and I will get to start it for the first time myself.

My car is an Arctic White 7 speed manual with Adrenalin Red interior (2LZ), black wheels, Z07 package (those carbon ceramic brakes are huge!!), Exposed Carbon fibre aero package, exposed carbon fibre roof top and carbon fibre dash.

It will look exactly like this..

Well I'm back in Bowling Green ready for the birth tomorrow! My tour starts again at 6.45am and the car should roll off the assembly line at around 1pm. I will post any pictures they email me (i think they do that in the next few days). I'll also post up some pictures of the album when it arrives. Cant wait to start it tomorrow.

Traditionally I've never been much into American motors, but my life the C7 is a good looker.

I was fortunate enough to have a passenger ride on an airfield in a C6 Z06 last year and sweet Jesus those things move.

GM put in a real lot of effort with the buyers tours, museum delivery etc. And nothing in the world comes close to a new Z06 at the price.

Seeing your own car being built and completed.

I love my C5 Z06 - i like the non refinement but these new C7's look amazing smile

Well it was an awesome second day.... seeing the engine and transmission mate with the body. Can't wait to get the album, though the waiting now to go back up to Bowling Green for the museum will be even harder!

The magazine reviews started coming out this week.... here's a written one on top gear and a video by MotorTrend:

Here's a couple of picture of my car that the museum sent me as I was driving home (in a very jealous Shelby GT500!)

Awesome .. and thanks for sharing so far !

Not watched the Top Gear review but the Motor Trend one is great ! Just two of the figures they managed - 0-60 3.2 and 1/4 mile 11.3 sec @ 126.2 - LT4 is amazing and still pushrod !

Some guys seem to dislike the performance figures on corvetteforum.com
As some say it must be the aero package.

You've got to remember its pretty much got the weight of a GSXR1000 in the boot extra. That's probably why they're moaning about its quarter times on CF. Its not a quarter mile car though is it, it's designed for tracks with corners. Still, has more power and torque and better aero.

Why hasn't GM released its ring times?

Looking forwards to seeing the OP's pics

Have they produced any test data for the new 8 speed auto yet? I reckon that is going to kick things up another notch.

Congrats on your purchase by the way. It looks awesome. And thanks for sharing with us.
