Is there any official data on how many C2 corvettes there are in the UK?

I'm on the road at least 3 hours a day for 15 years and I've never seen one coming the other way.

I'm guessing there arent more than 25 ish.

Without checking I'd say that there are at least 45 C2's owned by our CCCUK members. There will be others out there owned by non-members. A C2 is not the sort of car used on a 'regular' basis. Ask the same question about a C3 and you WILL see the occasional late model C3 Vette out and about - in the same way as you will see a late 70's/early 80's Brit classic out on the road.

I can confirm that 45 of our members own C2's. Most will own just one - several may own more than one C2. One person I know has four or five of them, ragtops, coupes, bb's and sbc's. Can only use one at a time though!

Zubair yes that would have been a good idea to have kept them as they are going up in value big time the last few years, I have put the Viper dream on hold at the mo to get me a C2 while their still obtainable to me, been a hard decision as a viper is still my second dream car, just feel my money is safer in a C2 at the mo, love vipers but their not easy to sell as you well know.

So the total is at least 50 then. I think numbers are on the up.

I've seen Enzo's, Veyrons, low drag E-Types, even Duesenbergs being used, but never a C2, maybe people just love them too much to use. I love mine second only to my wife and kids, actually no, just my kids, but I will always use it at least half a dozen times in the summer.

There are only around 1900 Corvettes (of all ages) in the UK, so you will find it rare to see any age of Vette coming the other way. Compare this to a Fezza, where there are around 9,000 (again,of all ages) and you start to understand just how rare they are

C2s were manufactured for the shortest period of time of all Vettes, so they are ultra-rare in any case. By extrapolation, my rough estimate is that there about 70 in the UK

Strangely enough, I've seen dozens of C2s whistle

Its funny I hadn't really thought about it until this post, and well I cant recall ever seeing a C2 on the road apart from when going to the Nats, had my C3 for 19 years and have spotted a few on the roads but not a C2, hopefully I will remedy that when I manage to get my hands on a C2, as it will be used !

I actually saw one on the road for the first time last month, a beautiful black convertible and with the top down! Sounded and looked amazing. I remember seeing a dark green (I think) C2 at a local CCCUK meet a couple of years ago, it was immaculate. Very, very envious!

Strange really as irs C2's are same basic chassis and running gear as earlier C3's!

Must be sum thing to do with there flimsy body panels and dodgy bird cages.
Very rare you see a C3 with nice door gaps and bonnet fit.
Gav had to replace a windscreen last week , took the trim off to fit screen. bird cage rotten as a pair.
