I wouldn't skimp on cheap tyres. I replaced two on mine last year. A front and rear. Not much change out of a £1000. On a car like this I wouldn't dream of putting cheap tyres on. Its one of those expenses I have to live with.

Also in need of some new rears for my Z06. The original goodyear eagle F1 supercars are really expensive and the American forum users aren't that keen on them either. Here in the UK there does not seem to be any other makes in the original sizes. Anyone here have a solution to this problem? I don't mind non run flats, and don't mind using a slightly different size, or would that be unwise.

Choice of new tyres seems pretty limited in the Z06 sizes. Tirerack in the US only lists 8 options:

As well as the right sizes, presumably you want the same weight loadings specs as the OE tyres. As you might have seen in another thread, GW65 just bought a set Michelin Pilot Super Sport ZPs for his non Z06 C6.

I like the idea of 8 options when in the UK it seems we only have one. There are a few choices for the rears as they are the same size as porsche gt2 and later gt3, but then the fronts aren't available in the Z06 size. The OEM goodyears are going to cost nearly a grand for 2 tyres!

But I just noticed the DOT code is 0108, so "new/unused" (allegedly) but manufactured in January 2008.

Do you mind me asking who supplied them? The reason I ask is that the CCCUK is talking to a tyre retailer in Europe about deals for CCCUK members. Email me if you prefer.

Im up for good tyres through the club.
Michelins would be my first choice, but price is also a consideration.
Finding the right sizes for front and back for a Z06, in the same tyre is like looking for
rocking horse whatsits.
Toyos would be my next choice, but finding the sizes has so far failed me frown
