Whilst I don't read the Grandad this popped up on work Twitter:

Unless I'm mistaken this belongs to a PHer? Has he/she anything to say about the 'ban'?

Belongs to VetteheadRacer.

if memory serves, they tried to recall it after he bought it but they were too late he'd already paid his money and was the owner of the plate. Not sure what the situation is now as he's now living in the U.S. And never transferred the plate before he went (with the car)

Had a peek this morning as the plate was very familiar and it's still showing on the car.

Yes I begged Nigel to let me get the plate off his car before he shipped it out but didn't happen, best £250 he ever spent lol and yes the did call him later the day he bought it trying to say they couldn't sell it, he basically said tough its mine I've paid and that was that lol

Car is now in Sweden! Sold it on Ebay smile

As the car wasn't road legal at the time it left the UK I couldn't transfer the plate onto retention.

Was this the vette that had a pair of balls hanging down at the back, used to make us laugh as not quite the club standard and at the time, we had a 72 convertible but At the nationals was a sight to seelaugh

No, that was TE51CLE - a blue C5 Coupe. The original owner has sold the car, but I guess he kept the plate.
