Can't be a 2014 can it? Seems a fair price:

If I were to return to the fold, this is how I'd do it.

Model year versus year of registration...which is why it always pays to check the VIN smile (Especially when it's not as obvious as in this case!)

Looks like a "Carbon Limited Edition" (2011 only), or a carbon pack Z06/Z07.
I think with the grey calipers, supersonic blue, its a 2011 Carbon.
Knock him down to £50k with a good warranty and take it.
No Sat Nav so upgrade there wink
Only 252 Carbons made in both Supersonic blue or Inferno orange !!

As above do the checks first and know exactly what it is.
If it's an import......it has to be, find a guy on corvetteforum.com
called "richy rich", hes a dealer and will give you the full GM
run down on it, warts n all. (Saved my @rse I'll tell you)

Whilst the Z06 Carbon was limited to 2011, it was still possible to option a 2013 Z06 to that spec, so this car could be a 2013 (but is definitely not a 2014). The Z06 Carbon was $99k new with Sat Nav as an extra.

You need to check the VIN and the RPO codes - look for Z07 and CFZ.

If it is a 2013 then it may well be worth £52k but that is getting very close to a UK spec manual C7.

I've seen one of those for £48k actually... Perhaps I should try one.

If that's your postcode you might want to remove it from that link. I can see the roof of your building, but not your nice car parked in the car park outside...

Nope, not my postcode wink

Anyone have any experience of the c6 grand sport? I notice there's a place in Ireland seems to stock several at £40k a pop.

Yep - I own the ex Man Utd Red and Black convertible. From the 6 they had, I think Sere only have the silver coupe left. PM me with your telephone number and I'll tell you what I know about it.

I popped into Sere in Belfast last year for a look.

The cars looked in good enough nick to me. Plus there wouldn't be any 'repatriation' to do as it's Northern Ireland and therefore UK anyway. You can hang onto or sell the N. Ireland number that it'll come with too. smile

Hi Brian - that assumes that they have been re-registered. Mine wasn't and came with the original UK plate as seen on the promo video which GM did when they handed the cars over.

If they re-register, that simply adds another owner to the history. My guess is that this car is still registered to Chevrolet.

The Silver car was used by a Man Utd Director as part of the Chevrolet sponsorship deal. It was the most used of all the cars they had and was in a very used state when it came off the fleet. I remember it having a cracked wing mirror, scratches on the roof panel, front wings..... I wouldn't buy it with my money.

Originally the players were going to be offered Z06's and 427 Convertibles but the directors of MU panicked and decided they shouldn't be offered cars over 500bhp. Ironic given they all drove 500bhp cars to training anyway. That's why they all ended up with Grand Sports and they weren't popular sadly.

I am pretty certain the Supersonic Blue Z06 isn't a limited edition by the way. Colour and Z07 Ultimate Package are good, but it is a 1LZ trim so no Bose, no heated seats and no Navigation. The handling package was phenomenal, but I would spend the money on a Stingray. The build quality was hugely improved. It's been for sale for a while though. Prices are just getting too high for what remains a niche interest brand.

I thought all Z06's had Bose, Leather seats, heating and Nav or was that only the UK spec ones?

All Euro spec Z06's were the equivalent of 2LZ and the 3LZ leather wrapped interior package was offered from 2009 as an option.

I Am pretty certain that the Supersonic Blue Z06 is actually a 2012MY.

Bought my Z06 from Bauer Millet back in sept 2013. Mine didn't have nav or heated seats but came with Bose. To be honest it never bothered me about the nav as I had one in my previous C6 and I found it useless. Priority was a low mileage unmolested Z and that's what I got.

Fair enough, Rich. I completely forgot that they hadn't been re-registered in NI.

My main point though was that the buyer wouldn't have to go through any importation process as it's already in the UK - just register it with DVLA under the existing registration number. For some reason, many people are surprised when they find this out.
