Only a K&N CAI and a ZR1 Aero kit (splitter, spoiler and sills)...
It was still pulling but very slowly, the GPS placed it at 195 max. 198 would of been possible, 200...not so sure, at the rate the acceleration was dropping I think 198-200+ would be only possible with a tailwind/downhill etc.

The wheels are 18" Billet Alloy replicas of the stock 15" Rallye wheels, they were custom made in the USA by a firm called The Newstalgia Wheel Co. The fronts are 8" wide and the backs 9.5".

Does that seriously come up with a message saying 'Over Speed Warning'?! On a Corvette?!

Yes, also if you're doing 300KPH, remember to wear your seatbelt:

A couple of Vettes in last nights car show...

This was at the Strip last month...

....now the only original parts on this (which has been rebuilt from a 'total wreck') is the pedals and the instrument bulkhead as it has been rebuilt over the years. It did a sub 5 seconds over an 1/8th of a mile.

And now for something completely different, which may interest some of you folks. Here's a few pics of my almost standard C4 on a 12,000 mile road trip from England to SE Asia - not the sort of trip you'd usually expect to find a sports car...

Good work! I'm currently reading your book about the Pan-Africa in a porker 944 - entertaining read so far! Are you doing another book for this latest exped?
