Are the wheels Crager? I was looking at Crager for my ZR1 but couldn't decide if the retro look would suit a C4. I have to say whatever they are they look the part!

They're 18 x 9 Boyd Coddington Smoothie II's wearing 275/35 Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3's

Unfortunately, they aren't lacquered so I still have to use the stock chrome wheels while the salt is being scattered. They suddenly seem like bicycle wheels!

Ray Comer uses the AACI website, not sure about this one. His is the LS1 with the rather quick 0-60.

I'd like to take credit for the shine but that's how they come and those wheels haven't turned in that photo. However, I am using Goddards Metal Cleaner as it recommends nothing abrasive. I'm following that up with a polymer polish.

Once fitted, I will mostly be using a high pressure water washer as there's a lot of rim behind them thar fancy fronts.

I got the wheels from T.Byrne Motorsports in the US who had the most reasonable prices including shipping.

Wow, I'd say those wheels totally transform the look of your car. Amazing the difference a set of wheels makes!

P.S. are they alloy? And do they make them for Corvette C4 / C5?

Kind of off topic, but that is mine and Rays Camaros in the article. I wrote it too - hope you like it. Look out for "how to fit 150bhp Nitrous Kit and spin the wheels in 4th and 5th at 90mph" article coming soon....(which ought to be followed up with a "how to fit a progressive nitrous controller" article really!)

Look forward to that one. I was going to fit a Venom nitrous kit to mine but then Ray blew up his gearbox and since I get to the track a maximum of twice a year, I thought it was a lot of hassle just for that one occasion as round these here parts, there's not much that will beat a good LS1 anyway.

Add to that the trip to Bristol to fill the bottle and it works out about £15 a mile. Hmm...perhaps not.
