Front cover of Feb 2004 edition has a picture of the C6 Corvette!!
And having just read the 8-page article a fairly written piece given that the guy hasn't driven the car yet!
Look forward to the reviews once it has been driven....

They're just page-fillers until they get some real cars to test. Mind you, that's only because it's been round the forum and we all knew what it looked like and the specs ages ago.
I had to laugh at some of the Yank mags who have been speculating about the C6 for some time now with some real stab-in-the-dark circulation boosting articles on what the Vette might look like. Well now, we can see them for the worthless tat it was - not even CLOSE!
So, like most PH contributors, I've seen the Page 3 pics and now want some test figures. Generally, the US mags get a pre-production model to test before the official release. that way, they can blame any criticisms on it being a "pre-production" model and remedy the fault so it looks like it was always meant to be like that.

I've been reading it today and the piece is fair in its assessment of the current C5 and the anticipated changes for C6. I'm still confused regarding the auto transmission, this article again referring to it being a 5 speed whereas the official details released 1 January seem to say 4, as in the C5.
It's said to be a significantly smaller car but I remain to be convinced that the 5" length and 1" width reduction is anything more than a re-shaping of the front and rear bumpers and wings/fenders with the main centre section broadly as before. I still think the new back looks a lot better than the new front.
Having seen Alice Cooper perform last summer I was particularly pleased to read the reference to Alice's "No more Mr Nice Guy [no more Mr Clean]". However, everything that is said along the lines that Vette now ready to take on Europe sounds a tad familiar from the launch of C5. Can't wait to see one in the flesh. It'll be interesting to read the First Drive reports shortly.
