Looking worried? You should see the expression when it kicks down and sheds some rubber on the open road as opposed to strapped down in the wilds of Oxfordshire!

Malc is going to hate me for this, but having been showered in bits of rubber a few moments earlier, I was only willing to stick me head round the corner in case I was showered with bits of Turbo. How wrong I was - sorry Malc.

Bet I got you with a bit of oil though, Rich...!

Noisy enough @ 3,500 RPM wasn't it, imagine if it revvved like a ZR1!!!

Nigel, what was your rear wheel HP? Should be 330 - 340 BHP by my reckoning (405 minus 18% driveline loss).

Spot on Richard! Made 332 at the rear wheels, my issue is that it only showed 370 at the flywheel which says to me that the flywheel figures for the dyno are clearly wrong. The torque figure was pretty much spot on 400 lbs/ft which is what I expected, so it seems to me that for some reason the flywheel figures that the dyno calculates are incorrect.

Nige, what were your KW power and torque figures? I'd be interested to know how the dyno calculates driveline loss.

I was a bit disappointed not to be able to get the car to max power revs (only 4250 RPM) to get a true reading. I definitely think the fan they used wasn't man enough for the job as I've never noticed the car detonate in all the time I've owned it.

The figures on the printouts don't really translate to as much as Geoff was saying though I've found a real wide variation of conversion values on the web.

Maybe the dyno their uses a different system or standard? KW ISO? What ever happened to good old fashioned BHP???

Blame the Europeans that's what I say! They invented these KW calculations and nobody knows the conversion rates!
