Thats great, thanks. I've always thought that would be a good idea but didn't know where to find such software. I assume you cannot do it on Vegas or iMovie?!

Cheers.

PS: If your ever in the south and fancy a ride around Snetterton then let me know.
I suppose you could do it in any editing program that lets you splice cips together (surely they all do), but would be a much bigger job, powerdirector makes it very easy. I bought powerdirector because it handles 4k video and I'm anticipating the next iteration of gopro will give proper 4k and this feature was a bit of a surprise but I like it.

Thanks for the offer of a ride at Snetterton...same applies if you find yourself up my direction (if you're not too fat, the car grounds out if you're too fat biggrin)

I had a bit of silliness this afternoon and started speaking to Simon at Meteor Motorsport, so I now have to hide a £1600 purchase from the Mrs redface

thanks to DCL for the comments too - nice to hear it from someone who is properly quick, you'll be please to know your old oil cooler is working perfectly!

Probably not the most exciting video but a wonderful noise as my 1.8K gets a workout on the rollers at >8,000 rpm! https://www.dropbox.com/s/59h5bzcibjy5h1u/Video%20...

Some videos from Knockhill....the third one is fairly enjoyable (if not quick)....still getting used to the car, will need to do something with the suspension as its way too soft for me and understeer is a big issue

still doesnt look as though you are at one with the car yet Greig , I know what you mean about getting comfortable with the pedals, it took me a while but would say once you get in the groove there is easy 3 secs + to be found ,I will predict 55s by the end of the year , not sure if you tried it but im sure you would find a lump of time by coming out the hairpin in 2nd gear ? Ps. I just overlayed your video with the time I had the car up at Knockers with the R400 engine and the difference in straight line speed is staggering up the hill even with me coming out in 2nd gear your miles ahead by the end!

Ps ref understeer have you changed the front slicks yet ?

oh and I really need to unsubscribe from this thread its rather like being single and lonely and seeing someone with your x girlfriend and knowing how good she was in the sack frown

Not yet, I have bought some, but not fitted them....also need to get the corner weighting done, I'm a wee bit (just a smidge wink) heavier than you so reckon its probably making a fair bit of difference.

I don't come down to 2nd at the hairpin as I just find it one to many gears to come down - but once I get a bit more used to it then thats in my plans.....just wary of bursting the engine at this point as I have prior going into the hairpin at knockers (3 engines so far!!)

difference is huge! same story out the hairpin at Croft the big duratecs graft hard from low revs then just keep pulling! my 2.3 duratec race car was as quick again which is most unlike the track car I replaced the Caterham with ,I am still trying to convince myself that slow is the new fast !!

Here is some footage from Snetterton last night going 2 up in 125 Sigma. Makes quite a difference in feel and handling with the extra weight!

Bottom end, crank bearings ect, this engine has spent all its life 3 years on the limiter so we can't complain, oil was always changed every 2 meetings, the trouble is it didn't give any warning and was going well right up to the point were it let go, being a strong engine and holding lap records this year at Zolder and Snetterton,

I'll upload the second race tomorrow with a brand new engine the following day, the only running in time was 50 mins ticking over before the race on Sunday,

He starts from the back of the grid due to the DNF!

It doesn't get any more closer than this,,,, if you watch the first 8 laps you can see that in the tow he can't make anything on the guy in front as the engine is still tight ( it had only done 50 minutes ticking over before the race) as it starts to loosen up the tow begins to work,

Here is a a video from a trackday at Llandow yesterday, my first time on track in this car for 2 years (and my first time on track since my last Academy race in October last year), it was awesome, I'd forgotten quite how much fun this car is! http://youtu.be/tXfWh1LvFpo
