age 51. First Caterham bought aged 27 (a 1.4K Supersport).
So, 27 was 24 years ago which is 1991 if my maths works. So that was the start of the k-series era. Well done that man!Bert
We'll never get an accurate cross section here because for every younger Caterham owner there will be a truly old biffer who doesn't have an Internet or any googles, who think 'Pistonheads' is that marvellous ale they used to like drinking until it started making them dreadfully bloated and giving them terrible gas... The sort who should probably be in a Morgan, if only they were able to bend down to grease those damnable trunnions and door hinges.

Cheeky young pup . At the ancient age of 62 I somehow manage to fire up the internet and ask that helpful Google chap to do his thing. I am not sure my back would actually take to the ride quality of a Morgan - if that isn't an oxymoron(at your age you may need to look this word up , given the rubbish education you probably had ) . Strangely this old biffer even finds he can still pilot his R400 at reasonable velocity. Now where are my Werthers Originals ...? I'm another old 'biffer' of 67 years of age who has had the same Caterham bv twin cam for 39 of its 40 years - the first year of its life was as the Caterham demo car when it was used for magazine articles & road tests etc.
Will surely help to increase both average length of ownership and owner age!
Sadly wife now refuses to travel in the 7 but is happy enough in my new toy (F355 Spider) but parting company with it is still too hard to contemplate!
