59. Bought my new Roadsport from CC in April 2008. Next car will either be a Porker or a classic of some sort.

I was 41 when I built our car. Now, ten years later, it's having an enforced refresh....

I would have described it as a loving nut and bolt restoration paying attention to all areas of the car smile

With my five-one in there, the responses to this thread so far put the average owner's current age at 44 years. I suspect it might be higher if averaged on BC.

Maybe I can help put the average age up a bit, although I wanted an S3 when I was 18, I actually didn't get my first Seven, an S3 twin cam, until I was 40, and at 66 now, I've not been without a 7 [or a 21] in the garage since, not the same one of course, I've had 9 or 10 over the years, built most of them myself, did 10 years of sprinting and hillclimbing, but content myself with blasting around in my CSR260 on the road now.

I'm not sure us PHers represent a proportionate cross-section of Caterham owners, we all seem quite young really...
Agreed. I'm 35 which may be about average on here. Other Caterham websites seem to attract more beards.

Got my first Supersport when I was 35!!

Now on my 4th Caterham and Second R500.

Caterham Ownership just keeps on giving.

Now in my late 40's dont see me giving up on ownership any time soon!!

Funny that beards get a mention................

I've had my beard since I was in my mid 20's, far longer than I've owned Sevens, but we're deviating here.

The previous owner of my car (who was about 24) said he attended a 7 Club meet once and felt about out of place by about 20 years! There aren't any meets near me, but I'm probably going to sign up with Lotus on Track next year to get some trackdays in with similar cars and hopefully people who are more concerned about the well being of their car and less with just overtaking everybody which I've experienced in a few trackdays lately.
