whats the average age of a caterham owner?
Discussion
At age 18, I first learned about Sevens from a Road & Track magazine road test in July of 1961 -- and I vowed I would own one some day. 46 years later, in June of 2007, I took delivery of a new Cosworth Duratec 2.3 S3 Superlight kit, and began putting it together in a friend's garage several thousand miles from my home in Alaska. In August of 2010 the Seven was finished, and in that month I drove it 6100 miles from Colorado USA to California, and then on up to Alaska.
I dearly regret that I waited 46 years. I will be 70 in two months. Time is short.

I'm 38. I had been pondering a Caterham for about 8-10 years, I think. I ordered a kit at the end of last year and built it in the summer.
I never really considered buying a completed car. It was the build that drew me.
Alas, in Germany, it is difficult to register a lot of kit cars, so my car is probably the last of a dying breed.

I'm 61 and have had Caterhams for 28 years and still enjoy my car. I was 18 when I was taken from Chichester to Thruxton and back in an Lotus 7 S2 Cosworth (that my friend still owns today) and will never forget it, as nothing came close to passing or catching us. I had to wait 15 years till I bought a new Super Sprint and I now have an R300.
