Original K-Series Superlight
Discussion
Great to hear Simon!
It originally had the aeroscreen when I bought it but later swapped to the full screen and weather equipment. Also had the S Type leather seats when I collected it but I later bought a set of Tillets for it and the smaller headlamps (or maybe I swapped for the larger headlamps, can't remember now...!).
I p/ex'd my Orange Supersport for that Superlight and then p/ex'd that for the R300 prwss car and then latterly a very well wet up and powerful R400 but your Superlight still remains right up there imho.

Unfortunately I have no idea what number mine was. The spec was fairly distinctive though if anybody could help?
Colour scheme: Bare carbon and ali
Engine: 1.8SS 140bhp (or 138bhp, depends who you ask!)
I think the registration number was T46 KGO
God I loved that car....!

The carbon bits tend to go milky over time with exposure to the sun.
My cycle wings were a bit milky, I ended up putting more laquer on them and they look good again, but I think it depends on how bad they are. If you replace them with better quality carbon parts they should last longer.

Nice to hear that you enjoyed owning the show car, I certainly enjoyed building it! (Still have a photo of it stuck to my toolbox)
I will try and post some pictures of the car from circa 1996/97 - should have kept it as fab car. Was reg as p174 CPK. Does anyone know where it ended up?area51 said:

Thank you, it would be good to see some pictures. I recall, among other memories of that car, that it took me over 2 hours to cut the exhaust hole (this was done after it had been polished). I got through no small amount of masking tape during the build and wore gloves to avoid finger marks.. Does anyone know or have any information about #152? Also any other advice for looking at or for an original superlight?
