I'm looking at a private sale, trade seem to bung anything from £1000 to £1500 for the privilege of buying from a dealer .

Thinking of you today Smiffy. Lovely weather this morning, at least in my part of the country (Dorset).

You'll love every second.

Spotted another potentially good starter car here http://www.velviscars.co.uk/used-cars/caterham-sev... would need clarification on the LSD fitment as this wouldn't have been standard (or allowed in the Academy).

Smiffy 7 ..... It's one you enquired about. How you enjoying ownership ?

I wouldn't say I was fat but the tillet seats are a tight fit for me , but I have a choice of tillet or leather.

It was a standard Roadsport 1.6 and to me it felt fast. Faster then the Elise I had. I can't imagine what one with 160bhp + must be like .

Seven ownership is everything I expected but better, it's been hard to pull me away from it!

So have you bought one yet??

And I've no idea why . Lol.
They simple to work on, the insurance quote is only £135 there's zero depreciation , there's a great following and a great club . I've even got a suitable number plate, that I brought for peanuts years ago F1 7 MAD , I actually brought the reg as it spelt F17MAD ( F1T MAD )

Update,
I've put a deposit down after speaking to a friend who brought a KTM in Austria for what he thought was a good price, is paying £1500 insurance, is having trouble registering the car in the uk and I wonder how much a dealer would charge for an oil change.

2005 Roadsport 1.6 k , it's an ex academy race car. I had the option of tillet or leather seats . Cars been resprayed. Comes with doors. The only things I need to source is a carpet set and a hood.
I've been looking since November, and the good ones get snapped up within 24 hrs. Two I know of have been sold to dealers who then add a couple of thousand and resell.
