Finally picked up my Caterham 7 after a 7 month search....
As some may know I've been looking for a K series powered Roadsport, on a tight budget. It's taken 7 months to actually find one that was what I wanted. I missed out on three that were advertised, all three being sold within hours of their advert appearing. I wasn't prepared to buy from a Caterham dealer - most seem to add an extra £2-£3K - however I did buy one from a 'new dealer'.
So the car is a '55 Roadsport - ex Acadamy. one owner from new with a fresh respray. It's in great condition. It did have Tillet seats but the dealer gave me the option of leather so I went for the leather seats. has the anti cavitation oil tank, quick release momo, and wider doors. There's a few little jobs that need doing - carpet on the rear bulk head, stoneguards and finding a hood. I'm also considering adding some stripes too.

Looks very nice. Get a half hood. Don't bother with the full version.

Congratulations on achieving your goal. If you need a full hood, I gather there are many disciples of the half hood with unused/surplus weather gear. You could put a request on here or on Blatchat and see what response you get.

If you want some side stripes and a much cheaper price than CC charge, take a look here:

I have a set. They're good quality, and the car is definitely faster now smile

(I think he possibly does bonnet stripes as well)

Congratulations! Looks like a good one and with the weather we've has the last few weeks you've picked a good time to buy.

As said, stripes are quite easy to add yourself if you've got some good weather.

I've just added a full stripe set to my Seven. Give me a shout if you want details from where I bought mine.

Hi. Where did you get the stripes from. And did you fit them yourself.

"new dealer" was that Sevens & Classics by chance?
Just up the road from me & recently moved to Brands Hatch, they seem to be doing very well.
Busy time of year with some nice weather, there seem to be lots of new owners on the forums which is good to see.
