After copious amounts of reading and research I have decided to drain out my (basically new) 10w60 oil and replace it with a 5w40.

Question is - do I need to remove both sump plugs on the Duratec wet sump, or just the smaller one?

The smaller one is 15mm, but what size is the larger one? It could be a 31mm or perhaps it's an imperial size?

It's a 32mm socket and I've always just drained through that.

If I recall correctly, the second bung is the cross drill that feeds the oil pump - you may find a gauze filter in there. It is worth undoing it to clean an drain any residual oil from the pump. But not essential.
