Knight, I never used the heated screen (nor I'm guessing did the owner before me).

One of the cables had to be cut as whilst being serviced a while ago someone put on a huge bullet connector which then wouldn't pass through the opening to remove the screen! (doh!)

If you're putting the screen on then use the doors (general opinion) as it's terrible without!

Else, stay aero smile

Car looks great!

Have fun.

Each side of the screen there is a wire (blue on LHS, black on RHS I believe) that connects to the loom for the heated screen. You'll need some japanese bullet connectors to allow you to both unplug the connectors and be small enough to fit through the hole in the scuttle.

Nice car, looks good. Kawa green was my second choice of colour after orange when I was choosing last year. Certainly should ensure you're seen out on the road.

Lovely looking motor. I took the screen off mine for the first time the other day and found the 2 wires you mention. I just cut them and got some bullet connectors from Maplins using the female side attached to the car and the male side to the screen to eliminate any potential shorting against the bodywork when the screen is off.
Not driven it in aero trim yet though as waiting for the right weather !!

I'm not sure there is a "right" time to drive it with the aeroscreen, you're going to get blasted by the wind, and pelted with flies and gravel all the time biggrin so just go ahead and do it thumbup

Though I have to say, even with this nice weather we're having at the moment I haven't stopped wearing a fleece and having it done all the way up when out for a drive! smile

Still at least 6 weeks away from getting mine...frown

The yellow one that keeps scrolling across my screen on the BOTB advert isn't helping either! hehe

I feel your pain anniesdad! My paperwork is all with the DVLA so mine seems a bit closer than yours, but with this weather it's hard to be patient!

Thanks for the moral support! laugh

DVLA are taking about 3 weeks I think about now. So hopefully you won't have too long to wait, mine could take a little longer than projected for this reason but there are people with far more important issues in the world and at least it looks from long term forecast reports that buying one this year appears to have been an inspired decision! Well done all of us new owners!

Absolutely! A very humble sentiment indeed! (where's the "back in my box" pic when I need it?!)

Ha ha .. No it doesn't !! Aeroscreen for me will only be on track days where you have to wear a helmet anyway so are protected from flies and the like.
I've had the roof up a couple of times due to torrential rain and it is a remarkably cosy place to be with the heater on. I imagine the half hood would be really draughty.
