Hi there does anyone know anything about this CSR260 in PT Sports cars? They have had it a while -

http://www.ptsportscars.com/cars-for-sale/caterham...

I am in N.Ireland so its a flight to look at anything and there are very few CSR260's for sale. I have narrowed it down to a choice of anything between an R400D to a CSR260 after having a Westfield Sport 2000 and finding it slow and lifeless though a good driving and handling car!

Anyone have any dealing with PT Sports cars? What are they like?

Anyone here have a CSR260 that they car give an opinion on one or are thinking of selling? The price of them is horrible but I still want one all the same!

Thanks in advance.

Don't know anything about other than that it has been for sale at two different garages over the last four to five months

I do - it's mine!

You've asked what PT Sports Cars are like. They were recommended to me as I had a couple of cars to sell which were never going to appeal to the masses and in my initial conversation with Ben, he immediately struck me as both enthusiastic and knowledgeable. He collected the vehicles; presented them beautifully and sold one last week. I received payment immediately. He's kept me informed of interest in the cars on a regular basis as well as how he sees the market. I would have no qualms about recommending their services to anyone looking to sell and am highly likely to buy from them in the future.

In short, PT Sports Cars has been a model firm with which to deal.

As R300XXX says, the CSR was at a different garage earlier this year. They had service levels equally as high as PTSC, but perhaps I was unrealistic in my expectations for them to find a buyer during some of the wettest months on record!

I spoke with them a few months ago about a 1.6k series car, which I missed in the end. They were keen to sell mine for me and seemed very easy to deal with. They work on SOR and another garage offered the same for cash, so I took it, but would have been very happy for them to sell it otherwise.

If you like the spec and the price is OK then I think its probably worth a look. Good luck

I've brought my Caterham from them.
Very pleased with the service they gave me. I dealt with Ian who's had many years experience with racing and driving Caterhams and has real passion for the marque
They're based not too far from Heathrow.
I saw the CSR260 and it did look awesome and I'm surprised it hasn't been sold.
They do have other well spec Caterhams for sale.

I spoke with Ian today and he seems pleasant and knowledgeable and the car sounds good too. Thing is I find it hard to justify the money in a Caterham never mind a 32k one.

I hope to be over in England late next week for a while and I want to call into Millwoods, Sevens and Classics and PT to have a look a drive a few cars as I have only ever driven 2, a 96 1.6 supersport that was too slow and soft and an 07 R400d which I really liked.

So its going to be a over 190bhp and a superlight or csr...................

Tell me about R500k's.......

If it's a road car seriously consider the CSR.

I've driven a 260, and the IRS is great! Not too fussed about the inboard front end, but I could live with it.

A bit more space and a bigger fuel tank in the CSR too, for extended trips wink

My first 7 was an R300 S3 chassis, my second one is an SV, same dimension chassis as the CSR. You don't need to wear daft shoes to drive an SV/CSR, and you're not rubbing shoulders with your passenger.

As for the cost, you'll lose very little come time to sell, probably nothing if you keep it long enough. There's justification smile
