Planning to take my car to Wales for a long weekend soon and intend to drive it with an aeroscreen only.

Any decent googles/sunglasses that would protect me from the elements/insects that others use? Would prefer a more contemporary style.

Will have a look although I will have to have prescription lenses so I don't have to wear glasses underneath

You're best sunglasses are fine, that's what I wear with the aero screen however the weather's getting cooler here so I put the screen and doors back on just yesterday.

+1 for the TEPS

brilliant design that doesn't mist up and well priced too. Get the extra clear lenses and you're covered whatever light levels you're driving in.

Long-time Fisher Fury spyder owner here;

Dixn TEPS are the best, because the gasket stops your eyes watering at speed (from air bleed behind); otherwise UglyFish from your nearest motorbike dealership - wide range of style s avaialble with appropriate impact protection ratings, and cheap too (£30 upward)

Either way, pick something with a ballistic rating - regular sunglasses do /not/ cut it when faced with even somthing as mundane as a newly 'dressed' road at 25mph. And you'll be looking to do more than that..

Maybe I was unlucky . . . but I was hit by a piece of road lifted by the a car in front. It was enough to stun me for a few seconds, and I was lucky to stay on the road. I only use a helmet now.

Yes totally agree with Rubystone.

Wiley XL-1s are spot on and come with (to some level) ballistic rated lenses. Very popular in the Seven community. There was someone on Blatchat who sold/sells them though can't think of the name right now.

As a long-time aeroscreen user who started wearing glasses 2 years ago I opted for these and went for the light reacting lenses and as my glasses are varifocals I also opted for bi-focals. Not cheap but managed to get hold of a 20% discount code. Excellent service ffrom the company and very happy with the goggles.

These are also the ones I have been looking at. Where did you get the discount code from??

Have a look here. The time period has run out but it might still be worth a try.

Only advice I can give is do not buy D4Vi9A WRS. Or if you do don't use them without the elasticated headband. I used with with my windscreen and a single burst acceleration was enough for the wind to rip them off my face and behind the seat. In comparison 3 other pairs of sunglasses stay on firmly in all manner of driving.

In addition I was not impressed with the quality. Pretty cheap and nasty bit of kit.
