Need to get a can for my 4-2-1 with a cat in it. My current one is without a cat. Do these ever really come up second hand, or is it best to start commissioning one? Any proven manufactures to knock at their door?

what car is it for? we've got a load of old exhausts with cats for the Duratec R300's if they're any good? We upgraded to the 620R exhausts this year (rear-exit and much quieter).

K series unfortunately. I need to basically IVA it again in Australia (emigrating), and can see this being an issue. Thought I best solve this lack of cat here rather than wishing I had from down under.

Depends on your budget, but BTB Exhausts http://www.btbexhausts.co.uk/ will solve your problem. Second to none in terms of quality.

I'm either thinking that I need to cough up ~£700 for a new can, or I can get a decent second hand deal. I thought people may have swapped them out, I thought there would be more for sale to be honest.

Or I buy the original single exit exhaust with cat to get it through the Oz 'IVA' type test, but it would be ideal if I drop this for my current non cat exhaust like everyone does in the UK after the box has been ticked...

I might be able to help you as I've just cut my cat out.

Send me a PM and I'll take a photo.

I may have a standard K exhaust system. The type with the 4into1 all under the bonnet, and a single pipe into the cat/ silencer.

CyckeSi. I tried a PM, it kept sating error. I'll try again tomorrow.

Mic, funnily enough I did sell my original exhaust a year or so ago, if only I had known. I'll try leads so far, but I may get back to you if okay?

First choice Is a simple can I can swap out with my current, second is the original cat/ exhaust if I can swap back after, third the expensive option.
