Anyone got any suggestions for who to use on a gearbox modification.

So far I have BGH and road and race.
I have the 5 speed and looking to make it more usable in the gears.

Road and Race refreshed my 6 speed. I arranged to drop it off at his house and pick up from also. Never actually met him, just spoke on the phone. So this is more of a good word for the conpany than a personal ecpirence of 5 speed box modifications.

I've heard good things about SPC although I've not used them myself.

Road and Race transmissions do a lot of Caterham transmissions, I have visited them several times and have always been happy with the results.

I agree Road and Race do a great job. I always use him to rebuild/mod my gearbox and diff.

BGH made me a great E7 box..
I know the current owner and I think its near 20k miles on it now.. including a few trips to the alps.

BGH did a cracking rocket 5 for my seven, great set of ratios , including a lower 5th and it took 260BHP and 180lb/ft with no problems.

Steve Perks at SPC made a fantastic long ratio 5 speed box for me, well recommended for a powerful engine (that doesn't need close ratio 6 speeder)
