If that was deleted I'd feel compelled to ask where that went too wink

Hey, I don't want to start a war!

If I'd have known pics were to be exclusively Sevens I'd not have posted, similarly after posting if I'd been asked to remove and keep it to just Sevens, that's fine and I understand.

I thought it was an interesting contrast of old & simple vs modern and technical, I love them both.

It was just I heard nothing at all and just found myself blocked, so that leaves one wondering why and what's gone on.

Shame as it strikes me a huge misunderstanding but I can only guess.

Yes it has been - the whole issue was starting to dominate the page.

Christian,

As I've said throughout this thread, I don't want to cause any trouble, and if you'd wanted to keep your group exclusively Sevens I perfectly understand and would have happily complied.

As a long term Seven owner I also love lots of other cars, and I think it's a shame we seemed to get off on the wrong foot for some reason.

Happy days Robert.

Please request to join the group again, your block has been lifted.
We'll put this down to crossed wires and miscommunication and not mention it again eh?

Doesn't that tell you an awful lot?

Not really, maybe you should explain rather than leaving acid cryptic comments or are you just another person who wants to mix it up and cause trouble?

frown indeed. Actually seemed like a decent place to talk to enthusiasts and looked like it could blossom into a really handy resource.

Thanks.

I had no choice really, I was getting abuse and personal attacks from members of this forum for policing my own page (an issue between me and one other that was actually sorted).

Turns out it's not worth the hassle trying to set something good up for others, someone will try to destroy it.

268 members at the time of closure, 312 posted photos and videos and plenty of good chat and advice going on - shame.

The individuals on here know who they are.

Christian, sad to hear you had to close the group. It was a good page and thank you for the effort in starting it up.
When it comes to forums/FB, you will always get all sorts of people, most are good and offer exchanges of ideas, meets etc for the benifit of all. On the other hand you will also get those who can be problematic.
My view is to stamp tout the problems and keep going with the site for the benifit of those who stay behaved; but in the end it is your FB site so do what is comfortable to you.
Thanks for starting the page.

Christian, it is a shame you've shut up shop but what did you expect? You were in a pretty open forum so it kind of goes with the territory!

One of the nice things about FB is that it is open rather than overly policed like some other forums so if someone's behaving like a Tw@t they can be told as such! How were people making personal attacks on you, was it via an FB thread comment or private message (out of interest!)?

You had the makings of a really good FB forum in my opinion so put it back on line!

If you need another administrator I've already offered to help (sent you an FB response some time ago).

All the best!

Chris

Seemed like a great page and such a shame a minority seem to have spoilt it for the majority

To be fair I didn't expect it to be all plain sailing and you do kind of set yourself if you start these things up but I didn't quite expect that.

The abuse and digs came from this forum via personal messages, FB personal messages and a master class in condescension (from little more than a boy) on the page itself.

Sad thing is most of the abusers are paid up members of the L7C and others are people who speak to me on here - very disappointing.

What a shame it was shaping up to be an excellent forum. I hope it re-opens.
