1996 HPC dedion imperial chassis

Has anybody put a market available or home made sensorring on the front wheels?
Also which type can be put on the rear driveshaft (Dedion)
I would need both sides on the rear and front in order to get the launchcontrol unit from Motec working.

I purchased some Sierra ones from a company on ebay and the fabricated the front ones with blanks cut by a company called Jetcut. The Sierra ones were designed to fit the flange diff but, as luck would have it, they are an interference fit on the later drive shafts too. The front bolt up with the brake disc bolts.

I can take some fitted picture if you like but it would be mid week before I can get access to the car.

In the end I abandoned the project as it seemed all a bit too fussy but left the discs on for possible future up-grades.

Thanks a lot.
I've seen those on fleabay, but wasn't sure they would fit.
Can order some now.

Some fitted pictures would be nice.

On the inner end of the rear driveshaft you can fit a ring (a 20mm wide section cut from some pipe which just fits over. Then drill 8 x M5 holes on an even PCD and use some small pan head screws to secure. Use the heads of these screws to trigger the pickup. You can fabricate some mounts which fit under the cap heads holding pre-load adjusters on the side of the Sierra diff.

On the frotn, use the back of the disc flange, picking up on the 4 hub to disc bolts.

This all worked fine on the racelogic TC system I had on K2RUM.

As promised, a couple of picture fitted.

Front

Rear

The sensors have been removed as I abandoned the project. Basically a good set of tyres did the job just as well, and there's a little more satisfaction getting it right without TC anyway smile
