Mine arrived over the weekend, thanks Carsten.

One small point, at first fit, I haven't had time to look that closely, it seems to come to a halt when it hits the slight ridge 30 or 40mm down the lever. Just stops. It's not the weld, which I have smoothed off, it's higher than that.

What's the answer?
Perseverance. Once you get it past the ridge you'll find it will go all the way (hopefully).

Just got mine today, good job though I glued the alloy ends on as when I fitted it the carbon sleeve was still able to spin. Far nicer than the cheap looking and feeling original.

The carbon handbrake should be standard on the R models.

After getting another Caterham I want to loose the horrible plastic handbrake sleeve.

I messaged Carsten a few days ago but no answer.

What other nice handbrake sleeves are?

What's the standard handbrake handle off?

Another thread resurrection...

ajroberts and mike150, if you didn’t make contact and still are after a carbon handbrake cover, Carsten still has some.

I managed to contact him via his email address (which is easily found on Daniel French’s blog) and have one en route to me. bounce
