I'm looking to get an indoor breathable cover for my Seven which is due to arrive (in pieces!) this month. Has anyone tried one of these: http://www.carbuildersolutions.com/uk/medium-indoo...

Or have any other recommendations?

Depends how much you want to spend. I treated myself to a Classic Additions Custom Car cover a few years ago and was very pleased.

I have a Storm Force and would recommend one. They are affordable, good qulaity and fit the Seven well. Have nice straps that fit under the car to keep in on secure in high winds.

I keep mine under a Storm Force cover in the garage, keeps the dust off and there's never a sign of damp.

I do occasionally find the cat sitting in it though!

Correction, I have a Voyager cover. It's the lightweight Indoor/Outdoor one. Bit cheaper than the Stormforce I believe.

I have a Voyager too.
Got it from http://www.stormcarcovers.co.uk/collections/voyage...

(I do know Carl too - but that has noting to do with the fact I love the cover!)

I purchased one of those from another supplier and it is not breathable! In fact it's been on over the winter and resulted in incredible corrosion to the ali parts with water dripping off the engine castings. I investigated and blowing through the fabric shows it does not allow air flow. I hunted around and found this:
Ebay: 221303299163
It's a cheaper but MUCH better cover made of Tybond which is thicker and the same test blowing though shows its breathable. Tybond make vapour permeable roofing membranes so it's good stuff so I've now bought one for each car they are brilliant!
Be VERY wary of the permeable/breathable claims made by some sellers - all they do is import the stuff and sell it on in the same box. You might as well wrap the car in bin liners for all the good they do.

alright Ben, just seen this thread and i know you've just bought one so cool, but.... if your garage is slightly damp (like mine) its not a good idea to cover the car at all.

Bet you can't wait ! Might see you on the 2nd april? try and build it in 72 hrs! haha

G'Day All,
Just to put the record straight regarding our car covers.

The following car covers are breathable: Stormforce, Voyager, Kalahari & Sahara.

The Monsoon is not breathable, but has vents. This is recommended as a winter cover.

One of the biggest issues that gets over looked is the fact that early morning sunshine during spring and autumn months causes condensation under car covers, a breathable car cover is key to keep this condensation from being trapped under the cover.

Another problem many over look is ventilation of the garage or use a breathable car cover and dehumidifier is you want to really want the best vehicle storage conditions.

Thank you for the order Ben.

It's a secure covered car park, but it's more for hiding the car away from prying eyes really and the odd dropping from the resident pigeons.

I'd be very happy to be on the road first week of April but can't see it happening somehow. I'll be along to the showroom opening on the 6th to check out your work so see you there if you're attending!
