Spare 1.6 k series engine!?

Due to a "slight" issue with my engine, I may be needing a new one. Ideally I'd like to replace like for like, and it was a 1.6 k series EU2 engine (with distributor) from a 1997 car. It had the "supersport" upgrade cams which are still useable.

Any other suggestions gratefully received.

I have a EU3 supersport 1600 in mine that will be coming out in the next few months when my new 1800 is finsihed. I know not the best help

I spoke to moto build and they have a ZR 160 engine but not any older EU2 ones....

More thinking required.

Can't you use your head on a euro 3 block? I went the other way and used a eu3 vvc head on my eu2 block.

Hi there, yes I think they are interchangeable...my issue is that both my head and block/pistons are a touch....broken.

So I really need both. I was hoping to replace like for like, or close to it, so that it matched the original spec of the car.

One option is to get something similar to that engine and get it modified/installed to suit. Just trying to work out what is best at the moment.
