Reminds me of this - from 1894 -

I don't want to play in your yard,
I don't like you anymore,
You'll be sorry when you see me,
Sliding down our cellar door,
You can't holler down our rainbarrel,
You can't climb our apple tree,
I don't want to play in your yard,
If you won't be good to me.

Good for you.

Though I do suspect your trying to be sarcastic, or cruel. Or both.

As I have said, I enjoyed the page(s).

If blocking me makes you happy, I'd suggest you do some navel gazing on a couch.
If it bothers you that much you probably need to do some yourself.

Sadly, with months of Chemotherapy starting I will have that time.

However one of the things I had enjoyed (The Facebook pages) has been denied to me. And the contact with local members of the page.

Those who matter will stay in touch.
I recently left FB voluntarily. It's very liberating, and makes one realise that it's mostly all just self-acclaiming garbage a lot of the time.
There are far worse things to lose sleep over, aren't there?

I wondered where you'd gone. I've even thought about it myself but I'm not sure I could live without the ginger cats though.

I couldn't agree more but don't let your personal hate for FB colour the issue.

I don't visit Facebook as frequently as I used to, and certainly don't involve myself in communities (on the internet) as much as I probably should or could. I've missed this whole affair so catching up on where things are.

It's unfortunate that things have come to a point of he said she said, and different conversations about the matter appearing on different forums, but from what I've read, I can see each side's standpoint.

Is there a right or wrong? Probably not.

That said, I'd just ask people before posting anything anywhere, treat people how you'd like to be treated yourself, and remember that plain black and white text can be taken in different ways depending on the reader's frame of mind. Try and make it clear when humour is meant and hopefully things won't be taken the wrong way.

Life's been st to me over the last couple of years, sister lost her battle with the big C (good luck with yours Stridey, I don't know you, but wouldn't wish this vile disease on anyone), close family friend passed away (old age), and only last week, a close friend decided things had got on top of him more than he could handle so took his own life. Why am I telling you this? In the small hope that it might make people think that life really is short and fleeting and far better for everyone if we can get on and enjoy what fleeting time we have here. It's making me realise more and more that the things that really do matter are the relationships we build with people along the way and hopefully we can all do more of that and be more inclusive to those we know and love, and those we never meet.

Take care out there people, do what makes you happy and enjoy the small things smile

I think thats probably the nicest and most sensible thing written in the whole thread.

I like the Facebook page and really I only ever look at FB for it and the Lancia Montecarlo page that is more active than the web forum.

I find it rather odd that when people set up their own web community to get away from issues with an existing one then are then pursued and criticised for doing so. It's not just unpleasantness that stops people visiting a forum.

I did, I don't know that I needed to but I genuinely wouldn't want him to be upset or feel put out.

As have I. I do realise sometimes banter can be misconstrued and like you Crispin I didn't want him to feel upset.

But the person who pointed out how uncomfortable that 'banter' made them feel is unceremoniously kicked off the page. Brilliant !

Funny old world innit.
I did suggest that you should be allowed back but in the end it's not up to me.
As an aside I do wish you the very best in your treatment and a speedy recovery.
