Has anyone had any recent dealings with Caterham South. I rang yesterday to enquire about the supersport £24,495 without the photo and was informed that there was no one available to deal with my enquiry. I would have expected a call back by now, maybe business is booming and they can afford not to deal with tentative enquiry's. What's the thoughts on the car by the way?

I'm pretty sure the Supersport you're referring to was bought by a PH'er. Let me do some digging...

OP, if you want Dominic's email address, drop me a PM (you seem to have PMs turned off as a preference).

Similar experience, visited and declared interest in a Roadsport. All contact details taken, history of the car given.
Promised to call / email with a price on the car as the salesman wasn't sure !? This was 5 weeks ago. Not heard a thing.......

Jennsky - sorry to put the boot in but having made a number of calls recently to Caterham South and being assured somebody would ring me back not once did anybody bother to do so . Every single time I had to ring back myself and it really is not good enough . I know Caterham are a small operation but even so surely you can get an apprentice or whatever just to ring customers back- even if only to say 'sorry, your windscreen is still on back order'

I've been after looking round a new car with a view to place an order to update mine.

Mailed Caterham Midlands twice, nothing back yet.

I'll get round to calling them some day when I get chance, but they don't help themselves.

Given a call back when I was in the frame of mind they'd have an order by now.

Being a Caterham Sales Manager sounds like an easy job as the cars seem to sell themselves.

Contacted Caterham Midlands a few weeks ago, using the email function on the main website, about fitting a bag seat to my car. Haven't heard back. Also experienced similar phone-based "we'll contact you....*tumbleweed*" moments to the other chaps here.
I work for a small company and appreciate that it can be tough to stay on top of customer relations, especially when the company doesn't need the work; but I think taking thirty seconds to reply to customers (even if the answer is 'no thanks, we're too busy') goes a REALLY long way - especially these days when people can come on the internet and moan...!
I should say that face to face, the company are great. I've visited midlands a couple of times over the years and they've always been brilliant. Love my car too. Just wish they kept on top of customer feedback a bit better.

With throttle bodies of course, you know it makes sense, all that power when you need it, and that lovely induction roar.

No not mine, although he would really suit a nice hand bag wink

Just go to sevens & classics at brands hatch. Guys there used to work at Caterham and set up and indy dealing only in the best cars out there, always impeccable service and I couldn't recommend them more to anyone looking for one of these special machines

I've had nothing but bad experiences with Caterham South. I went there looking for my first Caterham and it was the worst customer experience I have had from any car dealer I've been to. The salesman (I won't name names, but you could probably guess if you've been there) couldn't have been any less interested or enthused about selling me a car. Of course he put pressure on me to buy the car I was looking at - it was new in stock at the time so wasn't on the website - he told me he had another guy ready to look at it but I had first refusal. A few days passed and I was told the other guy was ready to buy. I pulled out at the last minute (one of my better decisions in life) as I found a much better car for a lot less money privately. A week later the car was for sale on their website, and remained their for quite a while!! That aside, he was rude, obnoxious and often very blunt with his answer to my questions. My girlfriend, who was with me when viewing the car, was even more horrified and offended than me with his demeanour, and that's saying something!

That has put my off buying a car direct from Caterham for life. If you want to pay dealer prices I would strongly recommend Sevens & Classic, as already mentioned above. Calum is a top bloke, much more friendly and approachable, and the whole team there are actually great bunch of down to earth guys.

I'm glad I'm not the only one with similar experiences. Don't get me started on the CC Parts website - what a sad excuse for an online shop. Our cars deserve so much better

Has always been so. That's what happens when the cars are in demand. Crap sales people are employed. There are usually one or two good guys who know how to get a deal done with the customer feeling good about it.

Hey ho. At least they don't sell their cars using a Facebook group biggrin

I've just bought my first 7.

I also looked and didn't get any replies from Caterham. I then visited Millwood, Jon was very helpful and great. Unfortunately he just didn't have a car I liked.

In the end a phone call to Callum at S&C and I was sold !

I've had mine now for 4 weeks, very happy smile
