Hi again,

Well I bought the Caterham from Caterham South, hopefully picking it up next weekend...

Just sorting out insurance quotes at the moment, cheapest so far £147 from Adrian Flux :-)

My first drive in mine was across London on a dark, cold and wet February evening... you'll be fine!

Nice one, but please don't insure with A fks. Complete bunch of morons.

Congrats on the new purchase. Enjoy.

Agree with Bert by the way re: insurance. My recommendation would be REIS, especially if you are considering track days as your first 4 each year would be included.

+1 for REIS - don't buy insurance based on price, but based on service and reputation. should the worst happen and you need to claim - the cheapest policy will undoubtedly offer the worst outcome - basic maths/business.

Ok - one thing when you went to pickup the car, how did you sort out tax? This is the first time I have bought a car from a dealer since they changed the rules.

I did it at the dealers online before I left.

Obviously people insure with them as they are a good price. But my experience and that of many others is not good. Did anyone read the thread in SP&L about the guy sorting out his deceased son's estate and dealings with AF?

I was involved in an accident in a Caterham last year and AF were fantastic.

The assessor came the same week and I was paid out in full within ten days of the incident - I couldn't find fault with the service provided to me in any way.
