Question to forum.
Is there any idea in replacing the original airfilter-box with this "sock". (http://www.caterhamparts.co.uk/product.php?id_product=42)
or will other option do? Or should i just leave it the way it is :-)
all answers appreciated - by the way car is a standart wit k engine 1.6 1996.

I think it might give a nicer intake sound perhaps?

My 2002 Roadsport (standard 1.6K) has that filter fitted as standard. It sounds good, If I were you, I'd get one! I can't picture the airbox you have, did they all have them then, or just non-uk cars?

not sure but it is pretty standart, lifted from Rover i guess. I think Rovers 400 and 200 models have the same intake..

I've just fitted a Green cotton cylinder filter - it's a bit longer than the Caterham one, but fits OK and is cleanable and re-useable. I've got an old nose, so I've been wondering about cutting a hole and bonding in a naca duct or similar...
