Looking very nice Nigel. Aero wishbones are a nice touch.

Thanks I added those as an option.

I get they should be a part of my car as they add to the special sauce ingredient!

Looks terrific, any dramas / missing bits?
I would have to say no real dramas on this build.

Also it is without doubt the most complete Caterham kit I have ever had the joy to work on!

Only mistake so far was partly me to blame, one of the rod ends broke off in the watts line tube, as the thread must have been damaged and I did not notice.

Derek from Caterham sent me a replacement the next day though, always as good as his word, so no issues or delays.

Great glad it takes you back!

I hope we don't have to wait too long for the IVA now.

Nigel, from what I can see in the images you don't have the IVA strip on the edges of the openings around the suspension mounts. Is it not required any more?

Not fitted any of the IVA stuff yet, still waiting for the date, but will probably do the little jobs like that this weekend.

Oh, OK. I just wondered because it seems a little unnecessary and I know some bits that used to be required aren't any more, like around the reversing and fog lights.

Will you leave it on once it's been IVA'd?

I don't normally leave the SVA/IVA stuff on my Caterham builds, so will take a judgment call when it's on the road.

I was thinking that some of the bare alloy edges on this car might look better if they have some protection on them.

Hmmm... "Superlight". Sounds to me like you should leave them off! smile
Great looking car, sir, with or without.

Agreed Sean, the non essential items will all be coming off after the IVA.
