MGF k series engine value?

Is the K series engine from a 51 plate MGF of any value to a Caterham owner, A friend of mine is struggling to sell his, it's a good runner but tatty.
He's tempted to break it if he thinks he can shift a few of the more valuable parts?

no answers? I think the answer is close to bugger all .. unless it's a 160 with the trophy pistons. There's still a bit to do to get them into a Caterham, and there's a lot of them about!

I had a 160 engine in a little rover hatchback (can't remember the model), used the vvc head on my caterham, couldn't get rid of the rest, even though it had the stronger pistons, got £30 scrap for the car and had to pay a tenner for a flasher unit the next day which I could of robbed from the scrapper!
