W211 Sunroof Lining

I recently went to close the sunroof in my car and when I went to close the visor, I noticed that it was stiff. Anyway I managed to pull it forward but I noticed that the lining of the sunroof had caught something and it had started to come off.

Has anyone else had this happen to them and if so what did you do to fix the problem?

Do I need to remove the sunroof completely or can it be done without the need for this.
